About Us
After an intense first year of performances and artistic development, Finisterra Wind Ensemble continues to solidify its position as one of the most exciting wind ensembles in Argentina.
Directed by Jorge Doumont, the ensemble brings together highly accomplished musicians from the symphonic, chamber, and popular music scenes, creating a program that combines high-quality performance, innovative repertoire, and a strong expressive drive.
Since its debut, Finisterra has developed thematic concerts and programs specially designed to offer audiences a dynamic and contemporary sound experience, exploring fundamental works of the international wind band repertoire alongside compositions and arrangements of great timbral richness.
The group's repertoire includes world-renowned composers such as Jacob de Haan, Percy Grainger, Frank Ticheli, John Mackey, Morton Gould, and Ralph Vaughan Williams, among others.
The artistic vision of the Finisterra Wind Ensemble is characterized by the powerful sound of its wind instruments, stylistic versatility, and a concert format accessible to both seasoned musicians and new audiences.
During this new phase, the ensemble plans to present artistic concerts, thematic series, premieres of works by Latin American composers, and interdisciplinary collaborations with other performing arts disciplines.
With an approximate duration of 60 minutes, their performances are designed for auditoriums, cultural centers, concert halls, and festivals.

Vision
Finisterra Wind Ensemble seeks to promote the repertoire for symphonic bands and wind ensembles, as well as to celebrate the musicians who perform it and are committed to its dissemination and quality. In this setting, in addition to specific American and European repertoire, premieres and first performances of Latin American music find a space that meets the composers' expectations.
